Surgical Endodontics
For root-end surgical procedures, consultations are completed at the initial visit, and the surgical treatment will be delivered on the 2nd appointment. This treatment appointment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours (maximum), depending on the case. It is recommended that after surgery, you avoid heavy lifting, exercise, alcoholic and acidic drinks, and adhere to a soft-food diet for the first 3-5 days post-operation. Further post-operative instructions and an emergency contact will be provided at the time of service.
Secondary Retreatment Endodontics
For secondary or retreatment endodontic procedures, these cases will generally be completed in 2 visits (each approximating 1.5 hours) to ensure optimal healing. Postoperative instructions and emergency contact will be provided at the time of service.
Urgent Care, Dental Trauma & Cracked Teeth
If you are an urgent care patient in need of emergency endodontic services (intense tooth pain and/or facial swelling), we will do everything possible to see you the same-day or within 12-24 hours.
Pediatric Endodontics
Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults. Consultation and treatment cannot be rendered to minors without parent or guardian consent. Please be advised that we will do everything possible to ensure a non-threatening, comfortable, positive endodontic experience for your child. Generally, pediatric endodontic appointments are completed in 1 visit, but will depend on the nature of the endodontic infection and disease. We believe in conservative dental endodontic care for young patients, and do our best to preserve natural teeth in the most conservative method possible. Modern endodontic therapies such as "Apexification," "Apexogensis," and "Regenerative Endodontics" in the pediatric population allow for self-healing through activation of patients' immune system and bioavailable cells, after clinical removal of bacteria in infected teeth, and placement of dental pulp medicaments. Please allow for an initial consultation to assess the situation. Follow-up care and postoperative instructions with emergency contact will be provided at the initial visit.
